Before a new student can become a full fledged member of Impact Martial Arts and our “Black Belt” Program, We offer each new student a trial program. This program is designed to let the new student experience Taekwondo before committing to a long term course. Impact Martial Arts is not interested in student who is simply looking at Taekwondo as an activity. Too truly gain from the benefits Taekwondo has to offer one must take on the seriousness of training and set goals to achieve their objectives. The “Basic Training” class is for students of all ages. This lets you try it out, have fun and experience Taekwondo at its best! Once a student believes that taekwondo is right for them, then they may transfer into our prestigious “Black Belt Program” and become a full fledged member of our school. |
Increased focus and concentration from martial arts training is a great way to see better grades in school. Many of our families see improvement right away! We strive to improve the student's gross motor skills while introducing training that builds their fine and complex motor skills as well. Building basic strength, balance and coordination are an everyday part of class. We also train them in the use of confident behavior, goal setting, and the benefits of a positive attitude. We start developing or improving the students safety awareness through discussion, role play, and classroom activity. Being safe doesn't require being tough, but being aware. Self defense skills are developed as well as learning how to "manage the problem" so as not to use physical technique as a replacement for common sense. Treating people with proper courtesy and respect has extreme value. By repetition of certain behaviors in class we begin to train proper responses to authority and direction. Every students development is different. They are evaluated and rewarded on their individual progress, no matter how small. In short, we expect them to improve, not to be perfect. |
